About Holly

Professional Background

Hi, my name is Holly Woolman-Lane, welcome to my website.

With over 8 years of experience working across a wide range of animal care environments and extensive professional training, I bring both practical insight and academic expertise to every case. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour and a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. As an Associate Clinical Animal Behaviourist with the APBC, I bring both strong academic knowledge and professional standards to my work, ensuring that every client and their pet receive thoughtful, evidence-based guidance.

Associate members have demonstrated that they have the appropriate level of Knowledge and Understanding of the professional role of Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB). They are now gaining the practical experience necessary to be assessed as a CAB and therefore become a Full member of the APBC. The APBC supports its Associate members undertaking behaviour consultations.

My Animal Family

Outside of my professional work, my life is currently shared with three working spaniels, a cat, two ducks (which I incubated myself), and two parrots, one of which is a rescue. My love for animals has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. Growing up surrounded by military working dogs, living in rural Rutland and caring for a varied animal family gives me a deep, everyday understanding of both the joys and the challenges that come with looking after different species. This personal experience shapes the way I work, allowing me to support my clients with genuine empathy, patience, and insight.
